Before and After-School Care Returns with Engaging Activities, Qualified Staff, and Flexible Pricing
Hampton Healthy Families opens registration for school age programs

Registration is officially open for the Hampton Healthy Families School Age Program, providing dependable and affordable before and after-school care for families with children enrolled in Hampton City Schools. Designed to support the well-being of the whole child, the program offers structured, supervised care Monday through Friday, when schools are in session.
Before-school care begins at 6:30 a.m. and runs until the school day starts, while after-school sessions start at dismissal and continue until 6:00 p.m. Available at select elementary and middle school locations, the programs include supervised recreation, academic support, and enrichment activities led by trained staff. All team members undergo thorough background checks and are certified in CPR and First Aid.
Students in the after-school program receive nutritious snacks, and both sessions incorporate games, arts and crafts, homework help, and seasonal projects. The programs welcome all eligible students regardless of race, sex, creed, national origin, or disability. Families of students with IEPs or 504 Plans must disclose those needs for evaluation to ensure appropriate staffing and accommodations are available.
Enrollment is first-come, first-served and includes a non-refundable $20 registration fee per child for the school year. Weekly rates for before-school care are $20 for the first child and $17 for each additional child, or a $25 five-day pass. After-school care is $45 weekly for the first child and $40 for each additional child, or a $50 five-day pass. Payments must be submitted online through CommunityPass by the Saturday prior to the week of service to avoid a $10 late fee. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, and a $1-per-minute late pickup fee applies after 6:00 p.m.
